So...I didn't get a crossbow for christmas... hopefully I'll find a decent one in the January sales. I did however get 7 sporks. I think maybe I need to stop talking about the virtues of the humble spork. Hope you all had a fantastic and zombie free Christmas. I have a feeling that next year is ripe for ZA Day, so make it your new years resolution to make sure you're ready, and double check all of your preparations. A prepared ZA Day is a happy ZA Day.

Dear Chris,
ReplyDeletehave you considered the possibilities of fixing the sporks together in a star arrangement to make improvized shuriken, ninja death frisbee things.
ALSO, advice please what changes do I need to make to my ZAD plans. Given the recent weather I think the motorbike option might have some obvious issues.
regards,
ed
Well Ed, yet again you are the rue voice of reason in these troubling times. The shuriken idea is nice, but does disobey the fifth law of zombie survival which states that under no circumstances should you throw your hand to hand weapons. It leaves you at a disadvatage. Sure you might get a lucky hit but 9 times out of ten you miss the mark, and you'll be left sporkless for no gain.
ReplyDeleteAs for transport, if, like me, you can't really justify the purchase of a snow mobile to your other half, then crampons are the answer. Provided you've acted quickly enough, with crampons on your feet, you'll easily outrun the living dead, who have been distracted by mindless idiots literally falling over themselves in panic. Why chase a snack when a banquet throws itself at you! Something like these (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yaktrax-Walker-Traction-Device-Extra/dp/B001CZJBCU/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1293562720&sr=8-8) easily attach to your shoes in seconds, and you should keep them next to your zombie survival kit.
best of luck out there
